Posted Date: 09/06/26 (12:38 PM)

Hello Huskies.

Here is a look at The Week Ahead:

* Schedule for this week is as follows:

Monday - No School
Tuesday - Regular Bell Schedule
Wednesday - Regular Bell Schedule
Thursday - Regular Bell Schedule
Friday - Regular Bell Schedule

- ‎Freshmen Parent Counseling Night will take place on Tuesday, September 8th, from 6:00-7:00pm in the CHHS Theater. This is a great time for Freshman parents to come and learn all of the important academic information as your children begin their high school experience. We look forward to seeing you there!

- Juniors & Seniors!  It’s college and career presentation time!  We have many universities and trade schools already scheduled. Check the Career Center website calendar to register and view frequently updated events: College presentations and events

- ‎Credit Recovery begins Tuesday, Sept. 8, for those needing to remediate a core subject course. If you have been signed up by your counselor, check your Outlook student email for a message from the AEC regarding your class and teacher info ( Subject: IMPORTANT Credit Recovery Info)

- ‎Chaffey College Dual Enrollment (fall) courses begin September 8. Please make sure to turn in CVUSD Dual Enrollment Course agreements prior to the start of the course (if you want courses posted onto your HS transcript) and follow instructions on district site.  If you do not receive prior approval from Dr. B you will NOT have any classes taken through dual enrollment posted on your CHHS transcript.  There will be no exceptions made to this policy.

-  Remember to follow our school wide behavior expectations to Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe.  This is not only required during the school day but also whenever you are at a school related event.  It was great seeing everyone at the home football game Friday night but there were a couple incidents that took place towards the end of the game that are unacceptable.  Students involved in those incidents will be brought into the office Tuesday morning and consequences will be applied.  We have over 200 video cameras on campus (including in the football stadium and parking lots) so we have been able to identify those involved.  Additionally, anyone involved in an incident at a school related event will be banned from attending future school related events as a result.

-  As a reminder to those families that have students that not only attend CHHS but also a middle school.  We do not allow students from middle schools to attend the football games without the parents being present the entire time.  If you send your middle school student with your CHHS student to a game we will NOT allow the middle school student in without a parent being present for the entire game.  This past Friday we had an issue with students from a middle school causing problems and none of them had parents there with them at the game.  This is exactly why this policy is in place.  I have spoken with middle school administration about this and they will be sending out information about this as well.  Thank you for your understanding and support with this safety issue.

-  High school aged students that do not attend CHHS but wish to attend our home football games will only be allowed to attend by sitting on the visitor side of the stadium.  The only exception to this is if a parent is with the guest student.  In that case they will be allowed to sit on the home side of the stadium.  We have many students coming from other high schools wanting to attend our football games.  The problem is that many times these guests cause problems/incidents with our students which creates a safety issue.  So to ensure that our students are as safe as possible when attending football games we will only allow guests from other high schools into the home side of the stadium if they are with a parent the ENTIRE time they are at the game.  A non CHHS student may not enter the home side of the stadium with a CHHS student alone.  They must have a parent entering with them and staying with them the entire game.  Thank you again for your understanding and support with this safety issue.

-  Homecoming is right around the corner.  Tickets go on sale this Tuesday.  Here is ticket information:

9/8 - 9/11 : $50 with ASB Card; $60 without

9/12 - 9/24 : $55 with ASB Card; $65 without

9/25 - 10/2 : $60 with ASB Card; $65 without

10/3 - 10/8 : $65 for everyone

That's all for now.  Let's make it a great week Huskies!
